Splash Mountain at Disneyland in California will have its final day of operation May 30, 2023, before it closes to begin the transformation into Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open in late 2024 at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

Magic Kingdom's Splash Mountain in Walt Disney World closed in January, with extensive work on the iconic attraction already underway.

Although the Walt Disney World version appears to have a head start on its Disneyland counterpart, both are planned to open in late 2024.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure is based on the Disney animated movie, 'Princess and the Frog.'

My GSAT would go up if they got rid of Astro Orbiter and replaced it with nothing.

Guest SATisfaction survey. Also, bookmark for some light reading... https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/big-list-of-forum-abbreviations.939248/ Famously, our insiders have told us that MK's overall GSAT went *up* when Stitch's Great Escape was permanently closed.

Okay you guys, I give. What the hell is a GSAT? A new test from the College Board? A new form of VD I don't know about? The mind boggles.

First of all, to remodel a log ride you have to take multiple Immersion Trips on a corporate expense account to a city that has a Ritz-Carlton. Then you need to remember you are dealing with an entirely different kind of human called a CREATIVE EXECUTIVE, and they need at least a Club Level Junior Suite at the very least. They can't be creative if they don't have certain amenities. I think that's science. Or is it art? Probably both. Here's a link to that creative environment. Check the rack rates and tally up at least 3 or 4 Immersion Trips of 4 to 5 nights. Then include room service, bar tabs, spa treatments, town cars booked via the hotel concierge, gratuities, etc. Then realize you haven't even built a single robot frog yet for your remodeld log ride. You've just taken Immersion Trips. https://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/hotels/msyrz-the-ritz-carlton-new-orleans/rooms/#roomPoolCode=exec

I will say that all of the old American Sings figures were not state-of-the-art yet are far more and expressive than any of the critter band characters. It's this weird feast or famine. All of the advanced AA's are doing the same thing of gesturing to us while talking to us directly and the remaining characters are all frozen-expression animals with robotic-looking movement. Give me one band member that looks at good at the turkey playing the spider-web or the singing gators.

If this ride gets good GSATs, I won't really care. I'll still think it stinks.

If this ride gets good GSAT’s…I’m gonna be laughing at this whole thread.

Speaking of Mama Odie, anybody else find it kind of redundant and annoying that Mama odie is there before every drop. #multiplemoods She’s also just has way too much presence on the ride IMO. I don’t find her character to be that appealing and she was maybe what, people’s 6th favorite character from the movie? FWIWthough, think that AA on the lift hill might be the best designed on the whole ride.

Yeah, but jiggsaw, if Tiana’s Bayou Adventure breaks down, Mama Odie doesn't eat the tourists!!

You think every figure on the ride should be a state-of-the-art AA? That’s an interesting perspective.

I am getting sick and tired of people ripping on this ride. They are in preview mode for crying out loud. I remember as a kid in 1993, there was a theme park somewhere near Costa Rica. Some guy was taking a dump in a bathroom stall and one of the animals from the attraction came out of nowhere and ate the poor dude.

Anyone know the budget on this thing? Probably ridiculously high, right? The set redressing is nicely done inside, but that's about it. I remembered being floored by how much they wasted on pixar pier too. 50 lbs of glitter gets expensive I guess

It’s funny because all critters are hardly animatronics. They’re just static figures that rock back and forth. Heck the finale critters are just exact clones of the ones we see earlier in the ride. I’ve seen Christmas decorations at Costco that are more animated than them. Same goes for the little displays in the Main Street windows. Pathetic.

And they kept the ride running like that all day? That makes no sense.
